History
Founded in 1998 The Philosophie Collective first started with an intimate fortnightly breaks, beats, funk and hip-hop event in sunny Lancashire, UK. The idea was simple; to avoid the mainstream and play some damn fine music for grown ups.
Numerous residencies and high profile events followed in Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, London and across the UK as well as multiple foreign assignments in Europe.
In 2007 Matt Wainwright took up a full time DJ role at a prestigious Mumbai bar... and Philosophie Music International was born.
These days Matty can be found fiddling with his knobs DJing in Singapore's finest nightspots while the rest of the Philosophie Collective holds it down in Blighty keeping the nation under a groove.

Thought of the DJ world. Stirring up the melting pot of old and new, playing anything from House,
Disco, Rare Grooves and Boogie through to Balearic, Broken Beats and AOR edits. The mantra is
